Happy Walk for Down Syndrome 2016 by SM CARES and Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, Inc. (DSAPI) draws a positive influence towards the Down Syndrome Community and the family of the patients. As the theme for this year’s Happy Walk is “A Day with Family and Friends”.

SM Prime Holdings President Hans Sy lead the said event as he actively participated the Happy Walk for Down Syndrome. As the community grows, the Happy Walk has new home with is held at SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia, Pasay City. The original home of Happy Walk for Down Syndrome is SM North Edsa.

“A Day with Family and Friends” this is the theme of the Happy Walk 2016 that focuses on the family and friends of the down syndrome patients that took care of them. The family and friends that treat them normal and enjoying their company. I was amazed to the Down Syndrome angels as they participated dancing and singing during the event. It was a tearful moment that we are so proud that they are full of joy and hyperactive as they display their talents to us.

This years guest is the Ambassador Philip S. Goldberg, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines. He shows his enthusiasm in supporting the Down Syndrome community.

A joyful moment during the event as the we entertains by some of the dancers from SM CARES and Perkins Twins performs. As they perform, some of the Angels joins in the stage and they dance and sing also.

For me, this kind of event can bring the family of the Down Syndrome Patients to come up and participate as part of the awareness of the growing community. This is a annual event that gives the opportunity to our angels to enjoy their moment and show to the society that they are talented and hyper-friendly too.
