Setting things ablaze in the local scene of the triathlon community, SWIMBIKERUN.ph held their press conference at the event center of the Century City Mall where they announced their activities for the year and introduced their present partnership for the season.
Present at the launch were Asec. Frederick Alegre – Assistant Secretary for Office of Public Affairs, Communications and Special Projects of the Department of Tourism (DOT), Mr. John Walter Baybay – Chief strategist and Vice President for Marketing and Communications and Ms. Kezia Lucas, Marketing and Communications Manager for Black Arrow Express (BAE) – official logistics partner of SBR.ph for 2018, The Big Difference Communications team – official PR and marketing arm of SBR.ph and Ms. Leizel Cosgayon, Marketing manager of Century City Mall – official events venue for non-active sports activity of SBR.ph for 2018, and her team.
Taking time off from their schedules to attend the event were the people from the Museum and Cultural Affairs Office (MCAO) of the City of Makati and Mr. Warly Guerra and Dir. Edgar Santos of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
SWIMBIKERUN.ph (SBR.ph) is the brainchild of a Carlos de Guzman, a tri-athlete with a passion for the sports. With the fire burning strong, a community is now formed that is continuously growing and inspiring lives. SBR.ph is also an online store that caters to the gear needs of tri-athletes and/or those that are simply into running, swimming and cycling. He has shirts, socks, caps, drinking bottles, monitor watches, goggles, support straps and such made available on his site. He can also give support to some cyclist needs such as wheels.
The whole media launch flowed smoothly as the activities were presented to the attending press people and questions were thrown in, making the whole event buzzing with curious anticipation regarding the events of SBR.ph for 2018. Adding to the enjoyment of the launch were Curves, Tinapayan Festival and California Pizza Kitchen – who served as the main food sponsor for that day.
This February, the Oscar’s of the local triathlon community will take place on the 10th alongside the Expo which will run for 2 days from the 10th till the 11th of the prior mentioned month. The SBR EXPO is a retailers event showcasing items all geared to the needs of a tri-athlete. New retailers will join in the event showing their wares that are health related in nature that both athletes and non-sport minded individuals may be interested in. This is an open to all event, regulars of the mall can also enjoy the items offered on those days.
With the online voting taking place right now, the triathlon community of the Philippines is buzzing with excitement and is waiting for the results which will be made known during the Award’s Night which shall take place still at the event center of CCM. Recognition to be given are for the following categories:

- Age Group Tri-athlete of the Year (Men and Women Division)
- Youth Tri-athlete of the Year (Men and Women Division)

The first of all the races will take place in April which is the AQUAMAN (Aquathlon), followed by the DUAMAN (Duathlon) in May and capping it all off with the TRIMAN (Triathlon) in June; registration for all SBR events is now open to all interested individual and enjoy an early bird discount; something that some attendees took advantage of since the whole race activities are not time set, making it more enjoyable in the process.
Reflecting the dynamic demanding sports of triathlon, SBR.ph is packed with energy charge activities, setting things truly burning in the local triathlon scene this 2018.
